AC Milan have signed Brazilian defender Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur for an initial fee of around €15 million (£12.8 million) plus potential add-ons. Emerson, who has 10 caps for Brazil, signed a contract with Milan until June 2028, with an option for a one-year extension. During his three-year stint at Tottenham, he made 101 appearances and scored four goals. Milan reportedly fended off interest from Borussia Dortmund and Saudi Arabian clubs to acquire the 25-year-old. Emerson will wear the number 22 shirt and Milan will start their season against Torino on Saturday.
