Caleb Farley Joins Panthers Practice Squad

Caleb Farley, a former first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2021, has signed with the Carolina Panthers after being released in August. The 25-year-old cornerback, who has struggled with injuries and personal tragedy, including the death of his father in a house explosion, will start on the practice squad but is expected to join the active roster soon. Farley had a standout college career at Virginia Tech but played only 12 games in his first two NFL seasons and missed all of 2023 due to injuries. The Panthers also signed linebacker Chandler Wooten to the active roster and waived cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields to create space for Farley. This move addresses the Panthers' need for depth in the secondary, especially with other team members on injured reserve.
