Nelly Korda Wins Seventh LPGA Title

Nelly Korda made a triumphant return to competitive golf by winning The Annika tournament at Pelican Golf Club, marking her seventh LPGA Tour title this year. After a challenging front nine that left her two shots behind leader Charley Hull, Korda surged ahead with five consecutive birdies starting at the 11th hole, finishing with a 3-under 67 and a total of 14-under 266. This win makes Korda the first player to achieve seven victories in a single season since Yani Tseng in 2011, and the first American to do so since 1990. Korda had been recovering from a minor neck injury, which had sidelined her for nearly two months, but she expressed excitement and relief at being back in contention. Despite Hull's earlier lead, she finished tied for second alongside Jin Hee Im and Weiwei Zhang. The Annika served as the final event before the CME Group Tour Championship, where only the top 60 players qualify for a chance at the $4 million prize.
