Tony Allen Inducted into Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame

Tony Allen, a former star of the Memphis Grizzlies, will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class, highlighting his significant impact during the 'Grit and Grind' era of the franchise. Known as 'The Grindfather,' Allen was a defensive stalwart, earning First-Team All-Defensive honors three times during his tenure with the Grizzlies. His jersey number nine will also be retired at a ceremony on March 15 at FedExForum, marking a dual celebration of his contributions to the team. Brad Willis, Executive Director of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, praised Allen for his lasting legacy within the NBA. Additional inductees for the 2025 class will be announced in the coming weeks. The induction ceremony is scheduled for July 19 at the Omni Nashville Downtown.
