Arsenal’s Zinchenko Joins Nottingham Forest on Season-Long Loan

Nottingham Forest secured a late deadline day loan deal for Arsenal full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko after their pursuit of Atletico Madrid's Javi Galan collapsed. Zinchenko, 28, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 for a reported £30 million, has struggled for consistent game time and entered the final year of his contract. The Ukraine international had been a transfer target for Marseille earlier but wage demands hindered that move. Forest have been active this transfer window, also signing players like John Victor, Cuiabano, and Dilane Bakwa, showcasing the ambition of club owner Evangelos Marinakis. Zinchenko is expected to provide experienced backup for Forest while seeking more regular playing time under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Arsenal also saw other departures, including Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira, Jakub Kiwior, and Reiss Nelson, who joined Brentford on loan.
