Charleston Police Arrest Man Using Stolen AirPods in Car Break-Ins
Police in Charleston, South Carolina, arrested 29-year-old Shaoquna Rishen Williams for multiple car break-ins after tracking a pair of stolen Apple AirPods. Officers responded to reports of vehicle break-ins overnight near Gibbes Street and Lenwood Boulevard, using video footage and AirPods tracking to locate Williams. Upon arrest, authorities found a stolen Rolex watch on his wrist and recovered a bookbag containing the tracked AirPods and other stolen items. Williams faces several charges, including receiving stolen goods over $10,000, multiple counts of receiving stolen goods under $2,000, breaking into motor vehicles, and tampering with a vehicle. At the time of the offenses, Williams was under supervision by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services for previous property-related offenses. He is held on $100,000 bail at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
