Christmas Fires Cause Fatalities and Displacements

Several fires over the Christmas holiday period have resulted in multiple fatalities and displacements across various locations. In Colchester, Vermont, a homeowner and their dog tragically died in a house fire, while in Middleburg, Florida, an apartment fire, reportedly caused by children setting off fireworks, displaced six families. A Christmas Eve fire in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, left seven people displaced but was contained quickly enough to prevent further spread. In Buffalo, New York, a fire on Jones Street displaced nearly a dozen individuals, with damages estimated at $170,000. Additionally, an early morning electrical fire in Scranton, Pennsylvania, forced 11 people out of their home due to smoke and water damage. Emergency services and the Red Cross are actively assisting those affected by these fires.
