Penn State DuBois Softball Wins First PSUAC Title

The Penn State DuBois softball team made program history by capturing its first-ever PSUAC title with a dramatic 4-3 walk-off win against Penn State Mont Alto, earning an automatic bid to the USCAA Small College World Series. Throughout the championship weekend, DuBois went 4-0, highlighted by key performances from Chelsea Busatto, Sienna Barnhart, and Kelsey Stuart, and overcame a 3-0 deficit in the final game. The victory broke a nine-year championship streak previously held by PSU Brandywine, which moved to Division III this year. On the baseball side, Penn State DuBois finished the conference season undefeated and advanced to the PSUAC championship series, but ultimately fell to Penn State Mont Alto in a doubleheader, ending DuBois’ two-year reign as conference champions. Standout pitching from Connor Cherry and strong offensive outings powered DuBois' earlier tournament wins, but Mont Alto’s explosive offense secured them their fourth conference title. Both teams' performances underscore the competitiveness of this year’s PSUAC tournaments and the shifting landscape of conference powerhouses.
