Semi Truck Collision Kills 2, Injures Multiple on I-10 California

Two men died and several others were injured after a semi-truck veered into eastbound lanes and collided with multiple vehicles on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City. The crash happened shortly after 6:40 a.m. near Date Palm Drive when the westbound truck crossed into oncoming traffic, rolling over and striking multiple cars. The victims killed were identified as Miguel Macias and Francisco Sicairos Leon, both ejected from their vehicles during the collision. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash and has not yet determined how many cars were involved or the severity of the injuries to others. Eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed for nearly three hours with traffic redirected to alternate routes before partial reopening. Authorities are requesting dashcam footage or any information from witnesses to aid the investigation.
