Trinity Rodman Discusses Strained Relationship with Father

Trinity Rodman, a forward for the U.S. women’s soccer team, has opened up about her strained relationship with her father, NBA legend Dennis Rodman, stating he is largely absent from her life. On the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, she expressed that while he is her father by blood, he has not fulfilled the role of a dad, highlighting the chaotic lifestyle that impacted their family. Trinity's mother, Michelle Moyer, had divorced Dennis in 2012 and tried to shield her children from his erratic behavior. Dennis responded to Trinity's comments on Instagram, apologizing for not being the father she wished for and expressing his commitment to try and be there for her. The emotional toll of their relationship was evident when Trinity recalled a moment during a playoff game in 2021, where she felt Dennis's presence was more for publicity than personal connection. Despite these challenges, Trinity has found success in her soccer career, winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics and being named NWSL Rookie of the Year.
