Missouri, Texas Share $1.79 Billion Powerball Jackpot
Two Powerball tickets sold in Missouri and Texas have split a $1.787 billion jackpot, marking the second-largest U.S. lottery prize ever won. The winning numbers were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the red Powerball 17, with each ticket worth an annuitized prize of $893.5 million or a lump sum payment of approximately $410 million before taxes. This jackpot followed a record 42 consecutive drawings without a winner since May 31, 2025, the longest streak in Powerball history. The Texas ticket was sold at a Fredericksburg gas station near the flood-affected Kerrville area, while the Missouri winner's location remains undisclosed. Additional significant prizes were awarded to players who matched five numbers, including two $1 million tickets sold in Ohio and others in Texas, Kansas, and Florida. The next Powerball drawing is estimated at $20 million.
