Delta Plane Clips Aircraft During Atlanta Pushback, No Injuries Reported
A Delta Air Lines plane clipped the wing of an empty Delta aircraft while pushing back from the gate at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, causing delays but no injuries. The affected flight, carrying nearly 200 people, was scheduled to travel to Guatemala City and was delayed by almost four hours before passengers were transferred to another plane. Delta confirmed that there were no reports of injuries among the passengers or crew and apologized for the inconvenience. This incident follows another recent Delta event involving significant turbulence and an emergency landing in Minneapolis, where more than two dozen passengers were hospitalized. The airline is continuing to investigate the cause of the wing contact during pushback. Overall, Delta reassured passengers regarding safety while managing the disruption at one of the world's busiest airports.
