Francis Ngannou's MMA Return Set for October

Francis Ngannou will make his highly-anticipated return to MMA on October 19, facing PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira for the PFL Super Fights Championship Belt. This marks Ngannou's first MMA bout since January 2022, following a foray into boxing where he faced Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, losing both matches. Ngannou signed with the PFL in May 2023 after leaving the UFC and has been in mourning since the loss of his 15-month-old son, Kobe. Ferreira, who won the 2023 PFL heavyweight tournament and recently defeated Ryan Bader in 21 seconds, presents a formidable challenge. The event will also feature a co-main event between Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco for the women's featherweight title.
