Five Charged With Gunpoint Home Invasion In Orange County

Five individuals have been charged with a gunpoint home invasion robbery that took place in Wallkill, New York, on December 1, 2024. The suspects, identified as Bhupinderjit Singh, Elijaih Roman, Corey Hall, Erik Suarez, and Divya Kumari, allegedly forced their way into a home, zip-tied the parents, and threatened them in front of their four children, ages 2 to 10. The assailants searched for valuables, eventually coercing the mother to open a safe from which they stole jewelry and approximately $10,000 in cash. The U.S. Attorney's Office has charged the group with conspiracy and robbery under the Hobbs Act, which could result in significant prison time if convicted. The FBI's Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force coordinated the investigation leading to their arrests. The defendants are scheduled to appear in federal court shortly.
