Napa County Driver Charged With Six Counts Murder After Fatal DUI Crash
A 53-year-old Stockton man, Norberto Celerino, has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder and multiple felony DUI charges after driving a minivan intoxicated into a tree in Napa County, killing six farmworker passengers. The crash occurred on Pope Valley Road, and Celerino, who was driving without a valid license due to prior DUI suspensions, and one passenger survived with serious injuries. The victims, all men from Stockton, were on their way to work harvesting grapes at local wineries. Authorities noted Celerino showed signs of intoxication at the scene, and he has three prior DUI convictions, including one as recent as 2024. Prosecutors have filed additional allegations citing great bodily injury, violence, and poor probation performance. Families of the victims expressed grief and urged safe driving to prevent further tragedies.
