ICC Announces Record WTC Prize Money for Final

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a record-breaking USD 5.76 million prize pool for the 2023–25 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, more than doubling previous prize pools. The champions of the upcoming final between Australia and India at Lord’s will receive USD 3.6 million, while the runners-up will get USD 2.16 million. South Africa, finishing third in the standings, will receive USD 1.4 million, with other top-performing teams also benefiting from increased payouts. Australia qualified for the final with strong series wins, while India secured their spot as runners-up in the standings. ICC Chair Jay Shah emphasized that the enhanced prize money demonstrates the ICC’s commitment to keeping Test cricket central to the sport.
