The ban, enacted on August 30, stemmed from disputes between X's owner Elon Musk and Brazilian authorities regarding content moderation and free speech limits. Experts suggest that the new routing method acts as a 'digital shield', complicating government efforts to block the platform again. Brazil's telecommunications agency Anatel is investigating the situation and has yet to determine how to enforce the ban on the updated access method. Despite the temporary restoration, many anticipate that X may soon be blocked again as authorities work to address the loophole. Neither X, Cloudflare, nor Anatel have provided comments on the ongoing developments.
