TCU Defeats Alcorn State 71-48 at Home

Texas Christian University (TCU) rebounded from their loss to Michigan with a 71-48 victory over Alcorn State at Schollmaier Arena. Despite missing junior center Ernest Udeh Jr. due to a back injury, freshmen David Punch and Malick Diallo stepped up with significant contributions. TCU's defense was formidable, holding Alcorn State to a 30.4% shooting percentage and forcing 18 turnovers, although they struggled with rebounding, allowing Alcorn a 36-33 advantage. Alcorn State, on a 13-game non-conference road schedule, continued their struggles, having one of the lowest shooting percentages in Division 1 basketball. This win marks an important step for TCU, which is working to integrate six transfers and four freshmen into their team dynamics.
