Lithuania delivers military aid, enhances Ukraine's defense

Lithuania has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ukraine by delivering a new military aid package that includes drones, thermal imaging devices, and telescopic loaders. Lithuanian Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė emphasized the urgency of aid, stating that Ukraine's security is directly linked to Lithuania's own. The newly supplied equipment aims to enhance Ukraine's surveillance capabilities, logistical support, and overall defense against threats. Lithuania's military assistance this year will focus on air defense systems, ammunition, and counter-drone measures, while also supporting the development of Ukraine's defense industry. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Lithuania has provided military aid totaling over €754 million, with plans for further contributions in the coming years. This ongoing support underscores Lithuania's role as a significant ally to Ukraine during the conflict.
