CBS to Air Grammy Salutes for Earth Wind Fire, Cyndi Lauper
CBS and The Recording Academy are set to air two Grammy Salute specials celebrating Earth, Wind & Fire and Cyndi Lauper, both filmed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. "A Grammy Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September" will air on September 21, featuring the legendary band alongside the LA Philharmonic and guest artists including Stevie Wonder, Jonas Brothers, Jon Batiste, and Janelle Monáe. This special honors the nine-time Grammy-winning group's legacy and cultural impact. Two weeks later, on October 5, "A Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live From the Hollywood Bowl" will celebrate Lauper's music as she concludes her year-long Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, with performances from special guests such as Joni Mitchell, Cher, Angelique Kidjo, John Legend, SZA, and others, plus a video tribute from Brandi Carlile. Both specials will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+, with executive producers including Harvey Mason Jr., Ben Winston, Ken Ehrlich, and Lauper's manager Lisa Barbaris. These events highlight the enduring influence and achievements of both artists, with Earth, Wind & Fire recognized as one of the best-selling bands of all time and Lauper as a newly inducted 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member.
