Wife Charged with Murdering Green Beret in NC

Shana Cloud has been charged with the first-degree murder and concealment of death of her husband, Clinton Bonnell, a retired Green Beret in North Carolina. Bonnell, who had been missing since late January, was reportedly planning to divorce Cloud, a fact he had shared with his girlfriend and lawyer shortly before his disappearance. His dismembered torso was discovered in a pond in February, and DNA testing confirmed his identity. Investigators discovered his vehicle and personal belongings, including bullet fragments, at the couple's home, and digital evidence allegedly links Cloud to the crime scene. Despite Cloud's attorney claiming her innocence, prosecutors argue that Bonnell was killed after informing Cloud of his plans to divorce. The search for the rest of Bonnell's remains continues as Cloud remains in custody without bond.
