Strategy Expands Bitcoin Holdings to 641,205 BTC Worth $69 Billion
Strategy Inc., led by Michael Saylor, has continued its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation, purchasing 397 BTC worth approximately $45.6 million at an average price of $114,771 per coin. This latest purchase increases the company's total holdings to 641,205 BTC, valued at around $69 billion, with an average acquisition cost of $74,057 per BTC, solidifying its position as the largest corporate Bitcoin holder by a significant margin. The acquisitions were primarily funded through sales of common and preferred stock under active at-the-market equity programs, which raised about $69.5 million during this period. Strategy's capital structure includes multiple classes of preferred shares designed to attract diverse investors and withstand prolonged Bitcoin price volatility, supporting a long-term vision with plans to raise up to $84 billion by 2027 for Bitcoin purchases. Despite recent political tensions in the U.S., including a government shutdown criticized by President Trump, Strategy remains committed to Bitcoin as a hedge against instability and a superior store of value compared to traditional assets. Other industry players, such as Coinbase, are also increasing their Bitcoin holdings, reflecting growing corporate confidence in the cryptocurrency market.
