Caelan Doris Nominated for Rugby Player Award

Caelan Doris, the captain of the Ireland rugby team, has been nominated for the World Rugby Men’s Player of the Year award alongside South African players Eben Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit, and Cheslin Kolbe. Doris's notable achievements this year include leading Ireland to a Six Nations title and winning a Test match in South Africa, marking a significant milestone. Additionally, Jamie Osborne is recognized as a contender for the Men’s 15s Breakthrough Player of the Year, while Erin King is nominated in the Women’s 15s Breakthrough category. The awards ceremony will take place on November 24 in Monaco, where winners will also be determined through online fan voting until November 20. Other Irish nominees include Terry Kennedy for Men’s Sevens Player of the Year and James Lowe for Men’s Try of the Year.
