Hunch Mobility, Electra Partner for Hybrid-Electric Air Travel in India

Electra.aero and Hunch Mobility have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce Electra's EL9 Ultra Short hybrid-electric aircraft in India, aiming to enhance regional air connectivity. Announced at the India Urban Air Mobility Expo 2025, this partnership seeks to provide affordable, sustainable, and quiet air travel solutions, particularly for underserved communities. The EL9 aircraft is designed for ultra-short takeoff and landing, requiring less than 150 feet, making it suitable for small regional airports and unconventional spaces. Its in-flight battery recharging capability and low noise operation align with India's increasing demands for innovative air mobility solutions amid growing urban congestion. Marc Ausman from Electra expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to address pressing mobility challenges. Hunch Mobility's integration of the EL9 into its operational framework aims to facilitate direct-to-destination air transport, alleviating reliance on congested ground routes.
