Man Arrested Living In Clackamas County Condo Crawl Space
In Clackamas County, Oregon, deputies arrested 40-year-old Beniamin Bucur after discovering he was living in the crawl space of a condominium near Happy Valley. A witness reported suspicious activity when they saw Bucur park and enter the back of the building, followed by light emanating from the crawl space before the door closed. Deputies found the door damaged and locked, with an extension cord running through a vent, and upon forced entry, discovered Bucur had converted the crawl space into a living area complete with a bed, lighting, TVs, chargers, and other electronics powered by the condo's electricity. Authorities also found a pipe containing methamphetamine residue inside the space. Bucur was charged with first-degree burglary and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, with bail set at $75,000. The investigation continues, and authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office tip line.
