Devon Conway Replaces Injured Finn Allen in New Zealand T20I Squad for Zimbabwe Tri-Series

Devon Conway has been called up to the New Zealand squad for the upcoming T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe, replacing Finn Allen who suffered a foot injury while playing for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States. New Zealand head coach Rob Walter expressed disappointment over Allen's injury but praised Conway as a high-quality replacement. Additionally, Mitch Hay, Jimmy Neesham, and Tim Robinson have been added as cover players for squad members involved in the MLC final, including Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra. New Zealand's campaign will begin against South Africa, with the tournament featuring a double round-robin format followed by a final. The team is also without some key players such as Kane Williamson, Lockie Ferguson, Kyle Jamieson, and Ben Sears due to various reasons including workload management and personal commitments. Walter is beginning his tenure as head coach with this tournament, supported by staff including Luke Ronchi and Jacob Oram.
