Six hospitalized after early morning house fire in Centennial
A house fire in Centennial, Colorado, resulted in six people being hospitalized early Thursday morning. The fire occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a residence on South Oneida Street, and South Metro Fire Rescue managed to control the blaze by 2:55 a.m. Firefighters evacuated four people from the home, while two others managed to exit independently; one individual was unconscious and required CPR. The cause of the fire was initially unknown, but it was later determined to be accidental, caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials. Both the Arapahoe and Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices assisted in the response. Unfortunately, two fatalities were reported following the incident.
