Southern Miss, Ole Miss Host 2025 NCAA Baseball Regionals with Top Teams

Southern Miss baseball will host the Hattiesburg Regional as the No. 16 national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, facing Columbia, Alabama, and Miami. Southern Miss will open against Columbia and aims to improve offensive efficiency and rely on strong starting pitching, with key player Nick Monistere highlighted. Alabama and Miami, both at-large bids, round out the regional, with Alabama having defeated Southern Miss earlier in the season. Ole Miss, seeded No. 10, will also host a regional at Swayze Field, marking the first time since 2017 that both Mississippi schools host regionals simultaneously; Ole Miss will face Murray State, Western Kentucky, and Georgia Tech. Mississippi State will participate as well, playing in the Tallahassee Regional. Regional play begins May 30, with both Southern Miss and Ole Miss leveraging strong fan support and recent postseason experience to fuel their campaigns.
