Williams' Four-TD Game Earns NFC Offensive Honor

Through the first three weeks of the 2025 season, Caleb Williams has emerged as one of the NFL’s early top quarterbacks, ranking near the top in touchdown passes, passer rating, yards and QBR under new coach Ben Johnson. In Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys he completed 19-of-28 passes for 298 yards, four touchdowns, no turnovers or sacks and a 142.6 passer rating, including a 65-yard flea-flicker touchdown to rookie Luther Burden III. That performance earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week and a game ball from Johnson. Coaches and reporters have pointed to measurable improvements — quicker processing, cleaner footwork, better pocket comfort and more consistent pre-snap organization — that have allowed the Bears to expand the game plan. Williams has downplayed the accolade, saying he’s focused on sustaining the progress and preparing for Chicago’s upcoming game at Las Vegas.
