Man Arrested in Suspicious Death of James McMaster

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of 53-year-old James McMaster, found in a flat on Maxton Crescent, Wishaw, on December 5. Emergency services were alerted around 2:10 PM, and subsequent investigations indicated that McMaster may have been the victim of an assault. Following a post-mortem examination, police have treated his death as suspicious and are continuing their inquiries, including door-to-door searches and reviewing CCTV footage. The arrested man is scheduled to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on December 16. Police Scotland stated that inquiries into the matter are ongoing and they are interested in speaking to anyone who knew McMaster.
