Brighton Signs Nigerian Goalkeeper Nnadozie From Paris FC
Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on a free transfer from Paris FC, effective July 1. The 24-year-old brings extensive experience, including 55 caps for Nigeria and 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances for Paris FC between 2022 and 2025. Nnadozie has earned multiple accolades such as the 2024 UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season and the IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019. Brighton head coach Dario Vidošić praised her as a talented and commanding presence who will add consistency, confidence, depth, and drive to the squad. Nnadozie’s notable achievements include helping Paris FC win the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine by saving two penalties in the final and playing a key role in Nigeria’s national team since her senior debut in 2018. This signing is part of Brighton’s continuing ambition to strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
