Caleb Freeman Joins Chicago White Sox Roster for MLB Debut

Caleb Freeman, a 15th-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft and former Texas Tech standout, has been called up to the Chicago White Sox after seven years in the minor leagues. His promotion comes after a strong start at Triple-A Charlotte, where he pitched 10.1 scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts and allowed just three hits. Freeman is only the third player from the 15th round of the 2019 draft to reach the majors, making his rise a notable achievement for both him and the White Sox player development staff. He joins his former Texas Tech teammate Davis Martin on the White Sox roster and will work out of the bullpen, aiming to provide stability to a struggling relief corps.
