The expansion plan aligns with WWE's recent partnership with Netflix, which has identified India as a priority country for its content distribution. Starting April 1, 2025, WWE programming will be available on Netflix India, enhancing accessibility for Indian audiences. WWE President Nick Khan highlighted the strategic importance of India, noting the potential for multi-generational engagement and a substantial fanbase. The move is part of WWE's broader international strategy, which has included hosting events in various countries outside the United States in recent years.
