IPL 2025 Begins March 22 with KKR vs RCB

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is set to commence on March 22 with a match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens, which will also host the final on May 25. The 10-team tournament will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, with key fixtures including Chennai Super Kings (CSK) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23. Both KKR and RCB will have new captains, with KKR yet to announce theirs. The tournament will follow the format of previous years, with teams divided into two groups. Meanwhile, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is underway, with Gujarat Giants facing UP Warriorz on February 16, with live streaming available on Disney+ Hotstar.
