Du Launches Cloud Miner; Auction Opens Nov 3–9

UAE telecom du has launched Cloud Miner, the country’s first regulated cloud mining-as-a-service offering, unveiled at a Burj Khalifa event and available exclusively to UAE residents under local regulatory standards. Subscribers can bid in an online auction running Nov. 3–9 to rent mining capacity; initial contracts offer 250 TH/s for 24 months and mining begins immediately after subscription, with operations hosted in UAE data centres. Access requires KYC through UAE Pass and two-factor authentication to meet AML and security requirements. du says the service removes the need for hardware, electricity and maintenance and is its first step toward broader digital-asset services such as exchanges and lending. Observers expect the regulated offering to boost institutional adoption and on-chain activity in the Middle East, potentially lifting BTC trading volumes; the region already accounts for roughly 7% of global virtual-asset transaction value.
