Actor Harris Yulin Dies at 87 from Cardiac Arrest
Harris Yulin, a distinguished actor known for his extensive work in film, television, and theater, has died at age 87 from cardiac arrest in New York City. Born in Los Angeles in 1937, Yulin's career spanned over six decades with more than 100 credits, including memorable roles in Scarface, Ghostbusters II, Rush Hour 2, and guest appearances on Frasier and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He was also a respected stage actor and director, making his Broadway debut in 1980 and co-founding the Los Angeles Classic Theater while mentoring younger actors. Yulin received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Frasier and was part of the Screen Actors Guild Award-nominated ensemble for Ozark. His colleagues and fans praised his dedication and versatility, with many paying tribute after his passing. At the time of his death, Yulin was preparing for a new streaming series, American Classic.
