2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Announced

The 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team has recognized 22 college football players for their exemplary community service, with notable selections including Jake Schwinghammer from Saint John's University, Nick Dawkins from Penn State, Garrett Greene from West Virginia University, and Thomas Grehan from Johns Hopkins. This year's nominations included a record 178 candidates, highlighting the significant impact student-athletes have beyond the field. Each honoree will participate in a community service project in New Orleans ahead of the 2025 Allstate Sugar Bowl, where they will be recognized during halftime. The Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, awarded to one of the 11 FBS honorees, will be announced later this year. The initiative aims to inspire and celebrate the positive contributions of young athletes to their communities, as emphasized by former Good Works Team member Tim Tebow. Other honorees include players from various divisions, showcasing a diverse representation of commitment to service.
