Former MLB infielder and coach Mike Brumley died in a car crash in Mississippi on Saturday night at the age of 61. Brumley played for six MLB teams from 1987 to 1995 and later had a significant coaching career, most recently with the Atlanta Braves from 2018 to 2022. Braves third baseman Austin Riley expressed deep sorrow over Brumley's death, describing him as a major role model in his career, and dedicated a home run on Sunday to Brumley. The Seattle Mariners, where Brumley also played and coached, paid tribute to him. Brumley had a lasting impact on many players and teams throughout his career.
