Seven children were hospitalized after a carbon monoxide leak at the Building Blocks day care in Kittery, Maine. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, affecting 27 children and 10 staff members, with carbon monoxide levels reportedly reaching ten times the acceptable limit. While seven children and several adults were taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, all individuals involved are expected to recover. Investigators, including the Maine State Fire Marshal's Office, are examining the cause of the leak, with initial reports suggesting that subcontractor work involving concrete cutting might have released the fumes.
