Five Teens Shot, One 15-Year-Old Arrested at El Paso Apartment Complex

A shooting at the Commissioners Corner Apartments in East El Paso on Monday night left five teenagers wounded, with victims ranging from 15 to 17 years old. The incident began as a dispute among a group of people before an individual opened fire, resulting in one 17-year-old girl sustaining serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, while four other teens are expected to recover. Police have taken a 15-year-old boy into custody, although it has not been confirmed if he was the shooter. Residents expressed shock and fear, noting that the area is typically safe but now feel uneasy about allowing their children to play outside alone. Law enforcement agencies including the Crimes Against Persons unit and the Gang Unit are actively investigating the case.
