UAE Developer Arada Acquires 75% Stake in UK's Regal in $681M Deal, Launches Arada London
Sharjah-based real estate developer Arada has acquired a 75 percent stake in the UK residential developer Regal, marking its entry into the London market and its second international expansion after Australia. Arada has committed an initial investment of AED 2.5 billion ($681 million) to acquire and invest in Regal, which will be rebranded as Arada London, with plans to accelerate delivery of Regal's existing 10,000-unit pipeline across 11 projects and to triple this pipeline over the next three years. The acquisition aligns with Arada's strategy to diversify geographically and respond to strong demand for residential space in London, a city described by Arada Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi as one of the world's leading cities. Founded in 2017, Arada has launched multiple projects in the UAE and Australia, with a portfolio valued at over AED 95 billion and more than 42,000 units. Regal, with a 30-year track record, will retain its executive team and founders, continuing its current projects including Fulton & Fifth in Wembley, with 40 percent affordable housing. Arada aims to leverage its design, placemaking capabilities, and capital resources to support Regal's growth and expand its presence in the UK market.
