President Droupadi Murmu has vocally condemned the recent rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, declaring 'enough is enough' and calling for urgent societal and governmental action. In her first public statements on the incident, Murmu expressed deep dismay, highlighting the systemic issue of violence against women and the harmful mindset that views women as inferior. The incident has sparked widespread protests and calls for justice, with demands for stricter laws and better enforcement. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed her grief and dedicated the foundation day of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad to the victim. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the case, with several arrests made, including the main suspect, Sanjay Roy.
