Warriors to Hold Training Camp in Hawaii

The Golden State Warriors are relocating their annual preseason training camp to Hawaii, practicing at Brigham Young University-Hawaii from October 1-4. This marks the first time since 2007 that the team has held training camp in Hawaii, as they aim to foster team cohesion with significant roster changes, including the departures of Klay Thompson and Chris Paul and the additions of veterans Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and De’Anthony Melton. The training camp will follow Media Day on September 30, with the team set to play several preseason games, starting against the Sacramento Kings on October 11. Warriors coach Steve Kerr and star player Steph Curry will be crucial in integrating the new roster while promoting a healthy bonding experience during the camp. The upcoming season will be pivotal, with Curry and Kerr both under contract for two more years, as the squad transitions towards a younger core. Their regular season opener is scheduled for October 23 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
