United Airlines Cuts Domestic Flights Amid Rising International Demand

United Airlines has announced it will reduce domestic flights by 4 percentage points starting in the third quarter of 2025 due to decreased demand, while simultaneously seeing growth in international travel and premium cabin bookings. The airline reported record first-quarter revenue of $13.2 billion and noted that travel demand, especially for international and premium seats, continues to rise. United is also adjusting its fleet utilization, particularly on low-demand days, and expects these changes to extend through the end of 2025.
