Multiple Fatal Vehicle Crashes Kill 5 in Ohio
Two fatal crashes in Ohio have resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, both under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. In Delaware County, a head-on collision between a 2017 Honda Civic and a 2014 Dodge Dart on Hoskins Road killed three occupants of the Civic, none of whom were wearing seat belts, while the Dart’s driver, who was restrained, was seriously injured. In Wayne County, a three-vehicle crash on Cleveland Road involved a 2010 Nissan Sentra that crossed the center line and collided with a northbound semi-truck before overturning and striking a GMC Sierra pickup pulling a horse trailer, killing the Sentra’s driver, Imogene Osborne, who was wearing her seatbelt. The drivers of the semi-truck and the pickup were unharmed. Both crashes remain under investigation, with emergency responders and multiple agencies assisting at the scenes. Seat belt usage differed in each crash, highlighting ongoing safety concerns.
