Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has postponed its decision on summoning former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tejashwi Yadav, and other accused in a money laundering case related to the alleged land-for-job scam, with the next hearing set for September 13. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a supplementary charge sheet on August 6, detailing accusations against the Yadavs and nine others, including evidence concerning the death of co-accused Lallan Chaudhary. Although Chaudhary's wife confirmed his death in July 2024, his death certificate has not yet been issued by the panchayat, prompting the ED to commit to filing it once available. The court had previously instructed the ED to submit this certificate by the next hearing date. The case involves allegations that individuals were appointed to positions in the Indian Railways in exchange for transferring land to the Yadav family during Lalu Prasad's tenure as minister from 2004 to 2009.
