EHang Partners Hefei for RMB 1 Billion VT35 eVTOL Hub

EHang Holdings has entered a significant partnership with the Hefei government to establish a product hub for its VT35 series, a next-generation long-range, pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The collaboration involves a joint investment of approximately RMB 1 billion, with the Hefei government providing an additional RMB 500 million in support through orders, investments, and industry cooperation. The VT35 series represents a major technological upgrade, featuring advanced autonomous flight control and propulsion systems designed for medium- to long-distance air mobility, including intercity and cross-sea transport. The partnership will facilitate comprehensive development activities in Hefei, including research and development, testing, manufacturing, airworthiness certification, supply chain management, sales, operations, and talent development. EHang’s Type Certificate application for the VT35 was accepted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in February 2025, marking a key milestone toward commercialization. Financial analysts and brokerage firms are optimistic about EHang’s growth, with forecasts suggesting substantial potential upside in the company’s stock value.
