Ohio Man Arrested for Threats Against DHS Secretary, ICE Agents

Federal authorities have arrested Anthony Kelly, a Cincinnati man, on charges of making violent threats against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and ICE agents. Kelly allegedly posted messages on social media threatening to assault, kidnap, and murder federal officials, including statements about buying a shotgun and shooting ICE agents, whom he derogatorily called "Gestapedos." During the arrest, law enforcement found a handgun and ammunition at Kelly's residence. The Department of Homeland Security highlighted a significant surge in assaults against ICE officers—an 830% increase since January 2025—and emphasized that threats and doxxing of agents will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
