The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted extensive raids on properties belonging to Mohinder Singh, a former IAS officer and CEO of Noida Authority, as part of an ongoing investigation into a massive Rs 9000 crore land scam linked to the controversial 10% policy that allowed developers to purchase land at reduced prices. During the raids, which took place across multiple locations including Chandigarh, Noida, and Delhi, the ED seized significant assets, including Rs 1 crore in cash, diamonds valued at Rs 12 crore, and gold worth Rs 7 crore. Singh is implicated in facilitating illegal land allotments that led to substantial financial losses for the government, with evidence suggesting collusion between officials and major real estate firms like Amrapali and Supertech. The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report revealed that 80% of commercial plots were awarded to just three companies from 2005 to 2018 without proper bidding processes. Investigations into Singh's domestic and international assets are ongoing, raising concerns about governmental integrity. The ED has yet to issue an official statement regarding the ongoing investigations.
