Mark Wahlberg Transforms into Mob Hitman for 'By Any Means'

Mark Wahlberg is undergoing a dramatic transformation for his role as a mob hitman in the upcoming crime thriller 'By Any Means,' with on-set photos revealing him nearly unrecognizable in 1960s-inspired attire, a wig, and prosthetic nose and chin. Filming in Atlanta, Wahlberg appears significantly bulked up, donning a brown suit, red shirt, gold jewelry, and retro sunglasses, while sporting longer hair and thick sideburns to match the period setting. The film, directed by Elegance Bratton, is based on a true story and follows his character teaming up with a young Black FBI agent, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, to investigate the murders of civil rights leaders in 1966 Mississippi. The ensemble cast also includes Giancarlo Esposito, Nicole Beharie, Josh Lucas, and others. Wahlberg is known for committing physically to his roles, having previously gained substantial weight for films like 'Father Stu.' The release date for 'By Any Means' has not yet been announced.
